TMS 34: Choosing the Right Social Media Platform for Your Business

Social media has exploded over the past 10 years.  It seems like if you are not on Facebook, then you will miss out on everything.

It’s still hard to believe that I signed up for Facebook in 2009 and left it in 2018.  Facebook is not the only social media platform out there, it just so happens to be the most popular.

Everyone has their reasons for why they are on a specific social media platform.  In this episode, I share my own reasons for why I left Facebook.

I believe there are different social media platforms because 1 size does not fit all.

I joined LinkedIn in 2006.  I can’t say that I have been a diehard to this platform, but I did find a purpose for the use of connecting with other professionals.

What is your social media platform you use?  What is your “Why” for using it? Leave your comment in the show notes.

Thanks so much for sharing your story! I know I need to spend more time on LinkedIn. I’ve seen all kinds of recommendations on how frequently to post there. What are your thoughts?

    • That’s a great question, Wendy! I’m not an expert in the field of social media and posting, but what I have learned over the 8 months that I have been doing my podcast is being consistent. The more you show up at the same time and the same place every week, the more that people will want to connect with you.
